This is a conceptual space created for a No Doubt reunion tour, post Gwen Stefani's solo career as a pop singer and fashionista.
The venue was inspired by the bands' Southern California roots and Gwen's own fashion experience, utilizing the shape of a skateboarding half-pipe, and the gesture of a runway.
I wanted the audience to be able to have a unique, integrative viewpoint for the performance, in comparison to the typical six views given at a normal venue. To achieve this, I placed viewers on both sides of the stage. This leads to more potential performer-to-audience interaction, but also allows for the audience members to feed off of the energy from one another.
